Beat is using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains since version 7.x back in 2003. Learned up the ins & outs of the system, mainly by creating reports and Excel queries linked to the back-end of the system. Migrated in one company the Manufacturing system from HLM (Horizon Light Manufacturing) to the Microsoft Manufacturing module with Forecasting and resource planning.
Forensic Technology is running GP2010R2 and migrated the financial reporting from FRx 6.7 to MR2012. Using modules like Mekorma Check Printing, Canadian Payroll, Business Portal with TS & ER integrated with PDK (Personal Data Keeper) from MS. Some of the 3rd party products that are used include Rockon Software, eOne and Microsoft's own tools. The company is using Dynamics GP in a multi-site / multi-company configuration with several offices around the world and multiple currencies.
He has been working with SQL server for several years, coming from a main-frame background with DB2 and ISAM files. Recently started to work with SQL 2012 and SSAS. Uses various reporting tools for many years, like Crystal Reports, Excel, Report writer in GP and SSRS.
He has been awarded the GPUG All Stars title at the GPUG Summit 2013 in Tampa FL for his contribution to the Dynamics GP community and active participation as a presenter at several events like Convergence and GPUG Summit.
